An absolutely gorgeous 1955 double die obverse, Lincoln wheat cent graded Uncirculated Details 'Cleaned' by PCGS. It holds an exceptional strike with appealing mostly red surfaces throughout both sides. If this coin were to have straight graded, we believe it would have graded in the mid-grade mint-state level. It does have some light hairlines from an old time cleaning that you can see when the coin is being tilted in the light. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label holder. This coin has been one of our best sellers and has been very hard to replace lately. It faces up very well for a 'cleaned' coin.
The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 of these have survived in all grades today! This beauty is at least red brown if not read and the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,250 red brown examples have survived today.
