A very attractive 1942/1 Over-date variety silver Mercury dime graded VF 30 by PCGS. It carries strong details for the grade with an easily readable and bold over-date. This coin carries some appealing original toned surfaces that match evenly throughout both sides. The obverse has a more darker patina as the reverse holds a lighter patina. This over-date coin is one of the most popular variety coins to the entire Mercury dime series. The PCGS Coin facts estimates that only 3,500 of these have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 434 graded Very Fine 30 by PCGS.
