1942/1 10C Mercury Dime PCGS VF 25 Very Fine to Extra Fine 1942/41 Overdate Variety

A very attractive 1942/1 overdate Mercury dime graded VF 25 by PCGS. it holds decent detail for the grade with a original patina that matches evenly among both sides. This variety is one of the most popular for the Mercury dime series and has been in strong demand among collectors. Even at all the shows we have attended, this variety coin has been very difficult to find in a decent mid-grade such as this one. This coin has a massive mintage but the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,500 of these have survived today being this overdate variety. It is one of just 293 graded Very Fine 25 by PCGS.
