A tough 1936 proof silver Washington quarter graded PR 63 by PCGS. This proof issue date is the most popular and desirable proof Washington quarter ever minted. It is not only the first year of proof Washington quarters but is also the lowest minted of the entire series. We took photos of this coin head on as well as tilted in the light to show the different look it holds when in the light and when it is not. It does have a few toned spots you can see in the photos provided.
This date holds a mintage of only 3,837. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived in all grades today. This is one of only 208 graded Proof 63 by PCGS.
