1918/7 D 5c Buffalo Head Nickel NGC VF 30 Very Fine to Extra Fine 1918/17-D Sharp!

A 1918/7 D key variety buffalo head nickel graded VF 30 by NGC. This coin holds a very strong and easy to see over-date unlike most that exist for this variety. It has completely original surfaces and looks like it could have easily graded a touch higher. It is one of the sharpest detailed 1918/7 buffalo nickels we have ever offered. This is one of the most in demand varieties for the buffalo nickel series. It has been housed in a newer style NGC holder. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 7,000 of these have survived in all grades today. Of these survivors, this coin is one of only 134 graded to be in 'Very Fine' condition by NGC.
