A beautiful 1917 type one, standing liberty quarter graded MS 63 FH by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with a fully defined head on the obverse. This coin carries a very light original tone throughout both sides with very original and attractive surfaces. The toning style is accurately shown in the photos provided. Please note the holder does have two cracks you can clearly see in the photos provided. However, the holder is entirely intact.
This date is among one of the most popular of the series as most collectors only purchase this series as a type coin and go with the 1917 due to the cost of the 1916. This date holds a high mintage of 8,740,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 9,000 have survived today that still exist with a full head such as this one. This coin is one of only 891 graded Mint State 63 Full Head by NGC.
