1909 S VDB 1c Lincoln Wheat Cent NGC XF 40 Extra Fine Key Date Looks Nicer !

A very attractive 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded XF 40 by NGC. It carries excellent details for the grade with attractive original surfaces. It holds a very clear S Mint-mark with a sharply defined 'VDB' on the reverse. This coin looks nicer than the other ones we are currently offer grading by PCGS or NGC and graded XF 45. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. This coin is one of only 472 graded Extra Fine 40 by NGC.
