1909 S VDB 1C Lincoln Wheat Cent PCGS VF 25 Very Fine to Extra Fine Key Date Cert#7284

A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VF 25 by PCGS. A very attractive coin for the grade that holds a very clear S Mint-mark and V.D.B on the reverse. It has very attractive chocolate brown surface as shown in the certified photos provided. Unfortunately, the lighting make the close-up coloration look slightly off. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. Of this number this coin is one of only 978 graded Very Fine 25 by PCGS.
