A gorgeous 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded MS 65 RB by PCGS. This attractive coin carries a a very nice even mixture of red and brown surfaces. We would say the obverse is by far mostly red with the reverse being entirely brown. The reverse also holds some attractive toning when being tilted in the light. It holds a strong strike with a bold 'S' mint-mark and strong 'VDB' on the reverse. The 'VDB' looks much stronger in hand then in the photos provided. This attractive coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder and has been approved by CAC for quality.

The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a very low mintage of only 484,000. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived today with only 6,000 remaining with red brown surfaces such as this coin.

This coin is one of only 1,019 graded Mint State 65 Red Brown condition by PCGS. It is also one of only 271 approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
