A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded EF 45 by ANACS. It carries decent details for the grade with original toned surfaces. It holds a very clear S Mint-mark but has a weakly struck V.D.B on the reverse. You can see part of the D as well as the B on the reverse but they are both are very faintly struck. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand.
The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example.
