1901 S 25c Barber Quarter NGC G 4 Good Key Date CAC Approved Nice !

A very attractive 1901 S key date barber quarter graded G 4 by NGC. This key date San Francisco Mint carries strong details for the grade with strong rims for the grade, a full bold date, and clearly easily visible complete 'S' mint-mark on the reverse. It holds perfect original surfaces throughout both sides and has been approved by CAC for quality. We would say this coin is as nice as some G 6 graded examples. However, it is what we would call the "Poster Child" for a certified Good 4 barber quarter. It is by far the nicest we have ever offered for this grade level. This coin is the absolute key to the series with a mintage of 72,664. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that of this number only 2,000 have survived in all grades today. It is by far the toughest barber quarter to find for the entire series. This coin is one of only 82 graded Good 4 by NGC. It is also one of only 24 approved by CAC in this grade level.
