1894 $1 Morgan Dollar PCGS VF 20 Very Fine Key Date Pretty Toned Cert#5815

An 1894 key date, silver Morgan dollar graded VF 20 by PCGS. This key date coin holds strong details for the grade with a very interesting toned reverse. The reverse holds some pink, blue and green toning when tilted in the light. We suspect these colors have occured with how the coin was stored at some point. This date holds the second lowest business strike mintage of the entire silver Morgan dollar series of only 110,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 8,990 of these have survived today. A coin that is much scarcer than it's original mintage implies as it is expected than less than 10% remain today.
