1889 $1 Morgan Dollar VAM 5A PItted Reverse NGC MS 62 Uncirculated

A lightly toned 1889 silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with crusty lightly toned original surfaces. This coin has been notated by NGC to be the VAM 5A Pitted Reverse Variety. They have also notated that it is part of the Hit List 40 VAM Varieties. This Philadelphia Mint date holds a mintage of 21,726,000 Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,200,000 have survived in all grades today. it is one of only two graded Mint State 62 by NGC for this particular variety.
