An 1886 key date proof three cent nickel piece graded PF 63 by NGC. This key date coin was only minted as a proof and is seldom offered in a somewhat 'affordable' grade level such as this one. It does have a darker toned spot on the obverse. This coin has been housed in a slightly older style NGC holder.
This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 4,290. However, of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,500 have survived today. This coin is one of only 78 graded Proof 63 by NGC.
