A beautiful 1881 key date proof shield nickel graded PR 66 by PCGS. This low mintage proof coin is much more affordable in this grade being a proof issue rather than a mint state. It carries very mark free surfaces for the grade with blast white and flashy surfaces throughout both sides. Although it has not been designated, it does look like this beautiful coin holds some of a cameo throughout both sides.
This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 3,575. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,400 have survived today. This coin is one of only 153 graded Proof 66 by PCGS.
