An absolutely beautiful 1878 S traded dollar graded Mint State 62 by PCGS. It carries a very sharp strike throughout both sides with some lightly toned surfaces among both sides. It looks like both the obverse and reverse are at least slightly proof like. This beautiful coin has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This San Francisco Mint date holds a total mintage of 4,162,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that less than 1% or only 4,000, have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 147 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
