A very attractive 1878 CC silver Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by NGC. It carries an exceptional strike throughout both sides with a touch of light original toning throughout the reverse. The obverse is entirely blast white and extremely lustrous.
This popular first year of issue Carson City Mint date holds a large size mintage of 2,212,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 295,000 have survived today. It is one of only 5,427 graded Mint State 62 by NGC.
