1877 1C Indian Head Cent PCGS VG 8 Very Good Key Date Full Rims Tough Coin

An 1877 key date Indian head cent graded VG 8 by PCGS. It holds strong rims throughout both sides with a nice chocolate brown patina. It doesn't hold much of a red hue as shown in the photos provided. This key date coin has been in very strong demand lately among collectors and has been much harder to find lately than in recent years. The 1877 key date Indian head cent carries a mintage of 852,500. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 of these have survived in all grade! It is one of only 519 graded Very Good 8 by PCGS.
