1873 50C No Arrows, Open 3 Seated Liberty Half Dollar PCGS VG 8 OGH !
A tough 1873 Open 3, Seated Liberty Half Dollar graded VG 8 by PCGS. It carries strong full rims with some light toning throughout both the obverse and reverse. This extremely tough variety coin has been housed in an Old Green Label PCGS Holder (OGH). We have only ever had a few of these in all of our years in the business/hobby.
This date holds a low mintage of only 214,200. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 150 have survived that are this scarce 'Open 3' variety. It is one of only seven graded Very Good 8 by PCGS.
