A beautiful 1872 S Mint-mark below bow, seated liberty half dime graded MS 64 by PCGS. It carries a decent strike with very mark free surfaces for the grade level. It holds some light golden hued toning throughout both sides but most notably throughout the obverse. We would say the reverse is slightly less toned than what is shown in the photos provided. This coin is the 'Mint-mark Below' style.
This San Francisco Mint date holds a total mintage of 837,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived in all grades today that are the 'Mint-mark Below' style. It is one of only 175 graded Mint State 64 by PCGS.
