A very attractive 1870 proof seated liberty dime graded PF 62 by NGC. It carries an exceptional proof quality strike with appealing toned original surfaces. We believe this coin could easily grade at least a point higher if it were graded according to today's grading standards. It has been housed in an old time "NGC Fatty Holder".
This proof issue date holds a low mintage of only 1,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 600 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only a total of 14 graded Proof 62 by NGC.
