1870 1C Indian Head Cent PCGS MS 64 RB Uncirculated Red Brown Key Date Tough !
An attractive 1870 key date Indian head cent graded MS 64 RB by PCGS. It carries a nice sharp strike throughout both sides with a lot of red remaining throughout the obverse and reverse. This coin does also hold a neat little planchet flaw near the 'Uni' of "United". A tougher date to find in this grade level that has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This Philadelphia Mint date holds a huge mintage of 5,225,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 675 have survived with red brown surfaces such as this one. This coin is one of only 302 graded Mint State 64 Red Brown by PCGS.
