1864 2C Large Motto Two Cent Piece PCGS MS 65 RB Uncirculated Red Brown Exceptional

A gorgeous 1864 large motto, two cent piece graded MS 65 RB by PCGS. It carries an excellent strike throughout both sides with beautiful red and brown surfaces. It is mostly red throughout both the obverse and reverse. A very appealing coin for the grade that we thought would have a shot at grading a point higher. This 1864 two cent piece is the most common to the entire series with a huge mintage of 19,847,500. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 have survived today with red brown surfaces such as this one. It is one of only 453 graded Mint State 65 Red Brown by PCGS.
