An attractive 1862 proof seated liberty dime graded PF 65 by NGC. It holds an exceptional proof quality strike with darkly toned original surfaces. A civil war date that is seldom offered as a proof in this condition for the seated dime series. It has been housed in an older style NGC Fatty Holder.
This proof issue coin has a total mintage of only 550. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 450 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 29 graded Proof 65 by NGC. There are currently only 17 graded higher!
