A very sharp1861 O CSA Obverse, seated liberty half dollar graded Extra Fine Details 'Environmental Damage' by PCGS. This coin has been noted by PCGS to tbe the CSA Obverse variety also notated as the "FS-401 or (007) W-11 Variety". It carries great detail for the grade with very crusty surfaces throughout both sides. We believe it does have some slight environmental damage but really overall it carries a great look. It has been housed in a PCGS secure label holder.
This New Orleans Mint date carries a large mintage of 2,532,633. However, of this large mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50 of these have survived that are the CSA Obverse variety.
