A tough 1857 key date Braided Hair Half Cent graded MS 63 BN by PCGS. It carries a strong strike throughout both sides with very attractive chocolate brown original surfaces. This date is one of the keys to this short lived series with a very low mintage. A tougher grade to find this date stored in by PCGS. This coin holds a tiny mintage of only 35,180. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 124 graded Mint State 63 by PCGS.
