A tough 1852 Charlotte Mint gold liberty head dollar graded XF 40 by PCGS. This date is very seldom ever offered in any condition, especially being graded problem free such as this one. This coin is only the fourth year that was produced at the Charlotte Mint. It carries decent details for the grade and holds a very bold 'C' mintmark on the reverse. This Charlotte Mint coin holds a very small mintage of only 9,434. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 150 of these have survived today! Of the remaining survivors, this coin is one of only 10 graded Extra Fine 40 by PCGS.
