1849 O 25C Seated Liberty Quarter Very Fine VF Details Scratched Key Date Rare Coin

A rare 1849 O key date seated liberty quarter that carries very fine details. It holds a fully readable liberty on the shield of the obverse with strong feather definition on the reverse. However, this coin carries significant scratches throughout both sides that are visible in the photos provided. This is one of the toughest date to the entire seated liberty quarter series. This key date coin carries a mintage of only 1,100 according to the 2020 United States Red Book. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimate that only 450 of these have survived in all grades today!
