A tough 1844 O seated liberty quarter graded AU 58 by PCGS. It holds an excellent strike with attractive heavily toned original surfaces among both sides. It does have some neat colorful toning throughout the reverse. This New Orleans Mint date is seldom ever offered in this grade level. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This New Orleans Mint coin has a total mintage of 740,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 500 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only eight graded About Uncirculated 58 by PCGS.
