1840 $1 Seated Liberty Dollar About Uncirculated to Mint State Details Cleaned

A tough 1840 first year of issue, seated liberty dollar in about uncirculated to mint state condition. This coin carries excellent details throughout both sides but has been cleaned at some time. We took photos both from at an angle as well as head on to show both perspectives of this coin. We would say the look in person is definitely between the two. It has the look of a much more expensive coin but we significantly reduced the price due to the cleaning. This 1840 seated liberty dollar holds a very low mintage of only 61,005. However, of this small mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,500 have survived in all grades today!
