An absolutely stunning 1837 large date, seated liberty half dime graded MS 66 by NGC. It carries an exceptional strike throughout with very mark free surfaces for the grade. This coin carries vibrant colorful toning that is accurately shown in the close-up photos provided. This coin is the 'Large Date' variety. This date holds a fairly high mintage of 1,405,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,500 of these have survived in all grades that are the 'large date' variety such as this one. It is one of only 84 graded Mint State 66 by NGC. At the time of this listing, only 20 are graded higher today by NGC.
