A gorgeous 1834 Classic Head Quarter Eagle $2.5 gold piece graded AU 58 by NGC. It holds a fantastic strike with a very pleasing, completely original, richly golden patina that matches perfectly throughout the obverse and reverse. A completely original looking coin that has a nice hue of toning around the rims of each side. This beautiful example has been housed in an older style NGC holder. This Classic Head gold piece holds a small mintage of only 112,234. Of this small mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,750 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 100 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC.
