1880 5c Proof Shield Nickel NGC PF / PR 50 About Uncirculated Circulated Proof ? Key Date

An 1880 key date, proof shield nickel graded PF 50 by NGC. This key date coin is one of the toughest dates to the entire shield nickel series. It carries very crusty original toned surfaces throughout both sides. Although it has been certified as a proof, the shield on the obverse looks weakly struck in the upper area. A very interesting coin that we have never owned another of in this grade level.
