1955 Double Die Obverse Lincoln Cent ANACS AU 58 Uncirculated 1955/1955 DDO !

A 1955 double die obverse Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 58 by ANACS. This coin carries excellent details for the grade with some very attractive chocolate brown original surfaces. It has been housed in an old time 1980's style ANACS holder. This holder does have some circulation marks on it. This variety coin has been in very strong demand lately among collectors. This is one of our favorite variety coins ever minted by the United States Mint. Out of a mintage of 33,058,000 for the 1955 wheat cent the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 1955 double die wheat cents exist today!
