1955 Double Die Obverse Lincoln Cent ANACS AU 55 About Uncirculated 1955/1955 DDO

An attractive 1955 double die obverse Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 55 by ANACS. This coin carries an appealing chocolate brown original tone with a hint of some attractive blue toning. These have been very challenging to carry in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. This beauty has been housed in an older style 1980's small size ANACS holder. This is one of our favorite variety coins ever minted by the United States Mint. Out of a mintage of 33,058,000 for the 1955 wheat cent the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 15,000 1955 double die wheat cents exist today!
