1937 D 5C Three Legged Buffalo Head Nickel NGC MS 63 Uncirculated 3 Legs Tough

A beautiful original 1937 D three legged, buffalo head nickel graded MS 63 by NGC. This coin carries superior details for the grade with very attractive lustrous surfaces. A very appealing coin for the grade that has been housed in an older style NGC holder. It does have a touch of light toning but is mostly white among both sides. We believe the close-up photos have pronounced the toning due to the lighting. A very tough variety coin to find in such a high end grade level. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 10,000 of these have survived in all grades today! This coin is one of only 304 graded Mint State 63 by NGC. This variety coin has been in strong demand lately among collectors.
