1936 D 5C 3 1/2 Legs Buffalo Head Nickel PCGS VF 25 Three & Half Legged Very Fine

A very attractive 1936 D 3 1/2 legged buffalo head nickel graded VF 25 by PCGS. It holds very strong detail for the grade with crusty original toned surfaces. This variety is over 10 times as hard to find as the three legged 1937 d but not as many collectors know of this particular variety. For rarity, it holds a much better value in our recommendation. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder. This Denver Mint coin holds a total mintage of 24,814,000. However, of this huge mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 300 have survived in all grades today that are this rare 3 1/2 legged variety. It is one of only 28 graded Very Fine 25 by PCGS.
