1931 S 1c Lincoln Wheat Cent NGC AU 55 About Uncirculated Key Date Chipped Holder

A 1931 S key date Lincoln wheat cent graded AU 55 by BN by NGC. It carries very sharp details for the grade with an attractive lustrous chocolate brown original surfaces. This coin is housed in an NGC holder. However, the holder does have a chip that you can see on the obverse slabbed shot photo. The Chip is located near the upper left hand portion of the slab. This certification holder is still fully intact. This key date coin holds a fairly high mintage of 866,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 80,000 have survived today. This coin is one of only 193 graded About Uncirculated 55 BN by NGC.
