The 1931 S buffalo nickel carries a mintage of only 1,200,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 12,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of 1,891 graded Mint State 65 by PCGS. It is also one of only 142 approved for quality by CAC in this grade level.
