An absolutely beautiful 1931 D better date Mercury dime graded MS 64 FB by PCGS. It has an exceptional strike with fully defined bands and an attractive light patina. We believe this date to be very under-rated and undervalued for how difficult these are to come by in mint state grades. It has been housed in an Old Green Label PCGS holder. We believe this beauty would grade a point higher according to today's grading standards. This Philadelphia mint coin has a total mintage of 1,260,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,000 of these have survived today with full bands such as this one. It is one of only 375 graded Mint State 64 Full Bands by PCGS.
