The obverse holds stronger details than you see on most in this grade level. The reverse is exceptional with a very strong strike and full tip wheat stalks until the very top. It holds completely original surfaces and overall is a very high quality coin for the grade level. The 1922 No D, Strong Reverse, Lincoln wheat cent is one of the most popular and desirable variety coins for the entire Lincoln wheat cent series. We would say it is probably only following the 1955 Double Die Obverse in popularity for the variety coins of this series. It is a variety that is infrequently offered in XF 45 or higher condition such as this example.
