1918 D 5C Buffalo Head Nickel PCGS AU 53 About Uncirculated CAC Approved

A 1918 D buffalo head nickel graded AU 53 by PCGS. It carries a sharp strike throughout both sides with a fully struck horn on the reverse. A tougher Denver Mint date to find in this grade level. It holds a very light touch of original toning and is harder to come by in this grade level. It does have a neat Mint Error planchet flaw you can see on the reverse. It has also been approved by CAC for quality. This Denver Mint date holds a total mintage of 8,362,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 6,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 31 graded About Uncirculated 53 by PCGS. It is one of only five approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
