A 1917 D better date buffalo head nickel graded XF 45 by PCGS. It carries an excellent strike throughout both sides with some crusty lightly toned surfaces. This Denver Mint date is harder to come by with such a nice strike such as this one. It holds a touch of original mint luster among both sides. This Denver Mint date holds a total mintage of 9,910,000. However, of this huge mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 7,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 90 graded Extra Fine 45 by PCGS.
