A gorgeous 1917 type one standing liberty quarter graded MS 65 FH by PCGS. This beautiful coin carries a superior strike throughout both sides with very lustrous attractive surfaces. A gorgeous coin stored in an old time PCGS green label holder. We believe it would have a shot to at least earn a plus designation for the grade if it were sent in today. However, we would prefer this beauty to be stayed in it's old time holder from PCGS. This date is probably the most popular for the entire standing liberty quarter series being the only affordable date for a type one. It holds a huge mintage of 8,740,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 9,000 have survived today with a full head such as this one. It is one of only 1,241 graded Mint State 65 Full Head by PCGS.
