A 1916 D common date, barber quarter graded MS 65 by PCGS. This Denver Mint coin is one of the most popular barber quarters to purchase as it was minted during the final year of the series. It is very attractive for the grade and holds a light hint of toning throughout both sides. A neat coin to find housed in an Old Green Label PCGS style holder. We believe it would likely grade a point higher today. A superior quality coin for the grade level.
This Denver Mint date carries a huge mintage of 6,540,800. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 20,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 357 graded Mint State 65 by PCGS. It is also one of only 96 approved by CAC for quality.
