1916 D 10C Mercury Dime PCGS XF 40 Extra Fine Key Date OGH CAC UNDERGRADED
A stunning 1916 D key date Mercury dime graded XF 40 by PCGS. This key date coin carries is far more superior details than just the 'XF 40' deemed by PCGS. Both PCGS and CAC Missed the boat on this one. PCGS is understandable since it was graded a long time ago as shown with it being stored in an old time PCGS Green Label Holder. However, CAC just approved this coin and there is no way this coin should not have easily earned the coveted 'Gold CAC Sticker', they only gave it a green one. This has been one of the toughest coins for us to hold lately as they have been in strong demand among collectors. These are especially hard to come by in this very fine grade level. The 1916 D Mercury dime is probably the most popular date to the entire series. This date holds a low mintage of only 264,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts have estimated that only 10,000 of these have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 101 graded Extra Fine 40 by PCGS. It is also one of only 22 approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
