A tough 1916 D Key Date Mercury dime graded VG 8 by PCGS. This key date coin carries nice full rims with an nice even patina. This one we believe could have graded a touch better from PCGS. It has been one of the hardest coins for us to hold lately in inventory. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
The 1916 D Mercury dime is probably the most popular date to the entire series. This date holds a low mintage of only 264,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 10,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 628 graded to be in Very Good 8 condition by PCGS. It is often the last coin purchased to complete a Mercury dime collection.
