It holds strong detail for the grade with a pleasing original patina that has some purple and blue on the reverse when tilted in the light. This appealing coin has been housed in an old time 1980's style Small Size ANACS Holder. The 1916 D Mercury Dime is probably the most popular date to the entire series. This date holds a low mintage of only 264,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 10,000 have survived in all grades today.
