An absolutely beautiful 1913 D type one, buffalo head nickel graded MS 65 by PCGS. It carries an excellent strike throughout both sides with very mark free surfaces for the grade. What really makes this coin special though is the purple and blue colored toning throughout both the obverse and reverse. A coin that is seldom offered with attractive colorful toning such as this one. This Denver Mint coin holds a high mintage of 5,337,000. However of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 25,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of 913 graded Mint State 65 by PCGS.
