1909 S VDB 1c Lincoln Wheat Cent NGC VG 8 BN Very Good Key Date The KING to the Series

A 1909 S VDB key date Lincoln wheat cent graded VG 8 BN by NGC. It carries decent details for the grade with original toned surfaces. It holds a very clear S Mint-mark and V.D.B on the reverse. It looks very nice for the grade and looks like it could have graded slightly higher. This key date coin has been one of the toughest coins for us to keep in inventory lately as they have been in strong demand. The 1909 S VDB Lincoln wheat cent is arguably one of the most desirable coins ever minted by the United States Mint. It carries a low mintage of only 484,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 of these exist today that are brown such as this circulated example. This coin is one of only 419 graded VG 8 by NGC.
